[Spoilers Alert for Beautiful Creatures]

Ethan got himself inside another adventure, this time taking him deeper into the Caster World.

This is the second book in the Caster Chronicles Saga written by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl. Where we get to see more about the Caster world, by the tunnels underneath the Mortal World. Ethan has to find Lena who is running with a guy named John Breed, who is an Incubus; Incubuses are something like vampires. The Seventeen moon is close and Lena has to make the hardest decision of her life. Would she go Dark or Light?

This is an exhilarating sequel, it gets you hook in the first pages, it will never let you go until you finish. This book is clearly fast passe, it’s shorter than the previous one. It’s about 503 pages long but the font size is big, and have many spacings. The chapters numbers are dates and that helps a lot to know in which time the events are happening, is it the same day or a new one. That’s a really nice and creative way to number chapters.

The book lack a bit on the supernatural romance, but it gives something in return, more history about the place and people. We get to know more about Macon’s life, by Ethan’s visions. We also get some dreams scenes, where we get to see what’s happening on Lena’s runaway.

There where many answered questions, and still by the end the whole plot line is left open for the third installment. The ending it leave it open, but with no big cliffhanger, that is something nice. You want more but you’re not desperate waiting to see what’s coming.

Overall, Kami and Margaret did it once more. They got back into the Cater Universe, and where able to have the reader hook all of the time. This book once you start it reading you just cant stop until you reach the final page.

My rating: 5/5
